German Oak Leaf is a 3 color camouflage pattern introduced in 1942 and designed to imitate the appearance of sunlight leaking through trees and foliage. The three color oak leaf pattern was reversible with the "Spring" or greenish foliage pattern being on one side, and the "Autumn", or orangish pattern being on the other.
